Digital Strategy Manager

The Digital Strategy Manager is responsible for developing, evaluating, and executing online marketing plans for the brand. This person will manage digital marketing, search engine optimization, email campaigns, website analytics and 3rd party partners. The Digital Strategy Manager will provide analysis and strategies for improving the performance of each area of responsibility. This role manages the creative development process for all online content needs and ensures the marketing initiatives are consistent with merchandising strategies. This person will interact regularly with team members, and cross-channel representatives as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Be a power user for the new Palecek website
  • Assist with new website developments and organizing user testing for launches
  • Ongoing development of a website training library with documentation and videos for different Palecek user groups
  • Develop an online content management strategy.
  • Work with developer and IT team on general website troubleshooting
  • Lead the creation and execution of customer facing web pages and daily maintenance requests.
  • Collaborate with key brand stakeholders to manage creative for all digital assets.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the brand’s identity including product, editorial and marketing initiatives to create digital strategies that meet both financial and brand-building goals.
  • Develop and implement a digital marketing plan
  • Use SEO research and analysis to improve website ranking on search engines such as Google.
  • Assist with the selection of a new email service provider and content plan.
  • Support Director in the oversight of the online marketing budget, make recommendations for reallocation and/or investment based on individual program performance and brand goals.
  • Develop annual and 3YR business goals and investment strategies with Director and broader team.
  • Report on the effectiveness of existing digital programs, applying insights to the evaluation of new opportunities.
  • Assist with new website developments and launch.
  • Be attuned to the competitive marketplace.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualification / Knowledge / Skills:

  • 3-5 years eCommerce management experience
  • 3-5 Google Analytics experience
  • 1-2 years digital marketing and SEO experience
  • 1-2 Email marketing experience
  • BS Degree in Marketing or similar Preferred
  • Experience with ecommerce web technologies such as ecommerce system (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Demandware)
  • A basic understanding of other web technologies such as FTP, browsers, HTML, JavaScipt, CSS, mobile applications.
  • Critical thinking skills with ability to research, read, and interpret data and utilize the information to make informed business decisions and effectively communicate the insights to others along with action steps in a way they understand.
  • Be an excellent communicator, both oral and written.
  • Have exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work well with cross functional teams/departments.
  • Build strong relationships with 3rd party vendors to manage and collaborate on digital projects.
  • Have experience working with enterprise content management and ecommerce platforms.
