Palecek, a leading Accessories, Lighting, and Furniture manufacturing company, is looking to fill the Product Coordinator position within the Product Development department. This individual will have a significant role within the department, assisting with all aspects of the product development operations. You will handle the sample to item process, creating and maintaining all SKU numbers within our database. Generate reports, process purchase orders, finalize and maintain all item specification sheets and coordinate them with the overseas office and vendors. You will coordinate the new product getting into the showroom, process and manage the master swatch library, assist with documenting dimensions on products, communicate product changes, and other admin duties as requested. This position will be the primary contact in the department.
Create SKU numbers for all new products, swatches, and fabrics while maintaining detailed information accuracy within our database.
Work closely with the Purchasing department placing purchase order requisitions for the initial orders, maintain the purchase orders, review and approve the related proforma invoices.
Draft and finalize initial spec sheets for new introductions, revise, update, and maintain completed spec sheets for all inline items.
Coordinate all spec sheets and updates with the overseas office and vendors and manage communication on product changes to cross-functional departments.
Ensure physical samples get into the showroom, for each show season, by initiating the orders and tagging the items for pick up.
Work with the Sales team to confirm and initiate orders of customer service swatches through the Purchasing department.
Coordinate and process QC/PD Swatches between internal office departments, overseas offices, and vendors while maintaining the PD master swatch bins.
Assist with documenting and maintaining product details for new samples and inline items (including but not limited to measuring, photography, data entry, etc.).
Generate reports after merchandise meetings, summarizing purchase order quantities, noting approvals, drops, and revisions.
Assist with New Product Delivery Reports, Sales Reports, Vendor Reports, and other reports as needed.
Able to process and manage customer service inquiries in a timely, prompt, and accurate manner.
Support product development projects: proofing data, sourcing product components, transfers of products, and assist with critical deadlines.
Admin duties include but are not limited to air shipments, copying, scanning, filing, faxing, etc., as well as other department duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position requires two years of experience in operational support.
The candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, have an attitude that is willing to go above and beyond, a high standard, and commitment to your work quality, ensuring all details are finalized and confirmed.
Ability to work independently with minimum guidance. Capable of working well within a group setting and handling different priority projects simultaneously.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English, and manage information with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
Experience in Microsoft Office (Advanced EXCEL skills are required).
Experience in AS400 System, PLM systems, and photoshop, are a plus.
Experience or background related to home furnishings or similar industries is a plus.
Physical requirements may include standing, kneeling, handling, lifting, and moving products between 25 and 30 pounds.
